Welcome to GoodBooksNW. We are an independent, online bookseller specializing
in books on divorce, blended families and grief.
Books - and lots of them!
We know that when you are divorcing, grieving, or creating a blended family you
need good information. Luckily there are lots of good books out there. The bad
news is that these books can be hard to find at your local bookstore. While
your local store can only stock a few books on these topics we have hundreds.
Literally! We carry books on divorce, stepfamilies, unmarried co-parenting,
grandparent-headed families, gay and lesbian families, foster families,
adoption, non-traditional families and grief. We carry books for adults,
children & professionals.
Why us?
We don’t receive any money for listing books here. We read compulsively, find
books that we think offer solid information and perspective, and make them
available to you. We do our homework. These books are read and selected by
professionals and people with personal experience in these areas. Our focus is
on offering books with a neutral and helpful tone. Not every book out there
finds its way into our catalog, but most of the really good ones do. If you
want divorce books, blended family books or grief books check with us. You can
even write to us with some information on your situation and we can suggest
books.
Several ways to buy your books

On this site you will find our book catalog where you can search, browse books,
ask us questions and buy books. In fact, we have set up the catalog so you can
buy books several ways. You can buy directly from us, which supports our work
at the highest level. Or, you can click through and buy them from our partners
- Powells’ bookstore (our local favorite) or Amazon - because we recognize that
everyone has choices in how to purchase their books. Either way, when you buy
through our site we get a bit of the purchase price, so thank you! By
partnering with these large booksellers, we are also able to carry used books.
Since some of the books we really like are no longer in publication, you can
still find and buy your own copy right through our catalog.
What else do you have?
We also have some blogs: gooddivorcebooks.com
goodblendedfamilybooks.com
and goodgriefbooks.com
These blogs are where to go for additional reviews on books, links and
resources. We also post regular musings on these topics. Please visit our blogs
and recommend them to others who might be interested.
Thanks for visiting, and let us know your needs.
